Scorn is a first-person, atmospheric horror game that plays out in an atmospheric space filled with weird shapes and a somber tapestries.
It’s designed around the concept of “being immersed in the world”. In a secluded and tangled virtual world, players will travel through different regions interconnected through a non-linear way. The unsettling surroundings is itself a story.
Each area has its own story, puzzles, and characters. All of them contribute to the development of a cohesive world. As you play, you’ll explore new locations, acquire different skill sets, weapons, various items as well as try to grasp the world you are presented with.
GAMEPLAY FEATURES
A cohesive “lived within” the world. Scorn is set in an open-world that contains different interconnected regions. Every region has a maze-like design with different spaces and routes to walk through. It’s all told through the game. There aren’t any cutting scenes that distract you from the unpleasant reality of your world. Pay attention – the game will not give you any reassurance in the event that something gets missed during the haky journey. Each and every thing serves a function – it’s just up to you determine what it is.
Full body awareness: Participants experience greater immersion when they are aware of their body movements as well as their body. Interaction with the world is realistic as objects are grabbed with your fingers (instead of floating in mid-air) Machines and instruments can be operated using control buttons, etc.
