PlatinumGames’ NEO-CLASSIC ARCADE series carries on the spirit and excitement of traditional gaming through modern technologies, and the very first game in this endeavor includes Sol Cresta. Sol Cresta takes the docking and formation methods of classic shooting game Moon Cresta and Terra Cresta and enhances them using their “free-form docking” system. Based upon the triangulation of three ships, the main ship Yamato (Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi) can use different tactics. The most effective way to stop Mandler’s armies of invading troops is to dock the ships, separating them and reforming them.
